Corvette History
This web site is being published for all Military Veterans and Corvette enthusiasts. Allthough the Veterans portion of the site will not change frequently, the Corvette side will be updated on a regular basis and should prove very interesting. My Corvette History: Personally, I own a 2006, Victory Red Coupe with the z51 package. I have owned many vettes over the years starting with a 1964 Roadster with a 327 ci 365 hp, and 4 speed manual transmission. I bought that car when I returned from Viet Nam in 1970. That was all it took to get hooked on Corvettes. I stayed with the military for a total of 31 years combined service (20 years active and 11 years as a civilian), most of which was spent in Germany. That fact alone made it difficult to own and maintain a Corvette. I would always obtain the service manuals and do most mechanical work myself. I hope you enjoy my web site, I enjoy working on it to keep improving what I’ve started.
Corvette History, Generations 1 thru 6
The Corvette was born in 1952 as the 1953 C1 Corvette a vision of Harley Earl who presented the first concept version to Chevrolet Chief Engineer Ed Cole. Zora Arkus Duntov known as the Father of the Corvette, was a major influence in the early development including design changes and was especially key with the small block V8 Engine which was introduced in 1955. Zora’s improvements to the V8 were instrumental in setting a World Speed record for the 1956 Corvette on the sandy beach of Daytona at 150 miles per hour. The Corvette continued to progress from the C1 to the C6 of today.

The C7 Corvette Update
The C7 Corvette will be the newest model and is due out in late Summer or Fall of 2013 as the model for 2014. There has been a lot of speculation out there on what the C7 will look like, what engine it will have and possibly a new 7-Speed Manual Transmission. This site will attempt to keep you up to date with information on the C7 until its release in 2013.
Corvette Racing
This site gives a short history of the Corvette in racing form which began in 1956. Zora Duntov was most instrumental in keeping the Corvette up front in just about any early venture of Auto Racing. In the 70′s Chevrolet backed away from the racing industry, although fans continued to see Corvettes on the racing circuits, they were privately owned and raced. In 2000, the Chevrolet Corvette returned with a vengeance to racing with the C5R. The Corvette remains very active with the C6R Racing Team from Chevrolet.
